New long skirt for Maldives

I sewed a really simple new shiffon A line skirt especially for the trip. Because it’s not polite to walk around with shorts and tank tops in Maldives and i didn’t have any long skirt at home. And look, the color is just perfect, the same color as the ocean in Maldives! The pattern was really simple. You only need 1.6 m wide fabric (for size S, at least), elastic band, thead and a sewing machine. OK, and matches or a lighter for finishing lower edge.

Minu praegune projekt  on salli kudumine. See on küll juba valmimas, sest lõng on mõnusalt paks ja töö edeneb kiiresti. Ja sellised kirkad toonid on mu erilised lemmikud siin hallis ilmas. Inglisekeelset teksti kirjutades avastasin, et mu inglisekeelne kudumissõnavara on kasin, et mitte öelda, et puudub hoopis. Ühesõnaga Googeldasin pisut, ja oma üllatuseks leidsin, et kududa saab ka teistmoodi. See, mida mulle koolis/kodus õpetati, on kontinentaalne ehk saksa viisil kudumine, kuid on ka inglise/ameerika viis, kus lõnga hoitakse paremas käes. Ma ei tea, mida ma selle infoga nüüd peale hakkan, aga igatahes huvitav teada.

My current project is to knit a cowl scarf. No special pattern, just basic stitch. Actually i had no idea, how this stitch is in English, so I Googled it a bit. And to my surprise I learned that there are Continental way and American/English way of knitting: http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/how-to-knit4.htm and I am using Continental way. I really like the bright blue color and that the yarn is so thick that the knitting progresses really fast.
